Joe’s POV
A long while later I felt Demi jolt awake again. She was breathing heavily and her hand gripped on my arm so tightly that I think she cut off my blood circulation.
“Dems, you ok?”
“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine.” She mumbled, her words were slurred almost like she wasnt here.
“Please, Dems. Let go of my arm.” I pleaded. Her grip released but her breathing was still shaky. I pulled her closer and waited for her to calm down, I decided to not ask any questions because I dont really think she would want to talk about it. Demi was a very private person when it came to her past, and I never really got the whole story before so whats gonna make her tell me now?
“I-I’m sorry I-I’m going all weird on you, Joe.” Demi whispered and leaned her head on the pillow, looking at me. I looked back but her gaze was so intense that I had to look away.
“It’s ok.”
“Sorry.”
“Stop apologizing.”
“You probably had other stuff planned out for today. Now I’ve ruined it all.” Demi groaned and covered her face with her hands. “I’m such a horrible friend.”
I pried her hands away from her face and stared at her.
“No you’re not Demi. You needed me, and I’m here for you.”
She sighed deeply.
“Thank you, Joseph.” Demi said with a smile that I think could light up a room full of people.
“You’re welcome, Demetria.”
“Ugh, ok, first names are crossed off the list.” Demi buried her face into the pillow.
“I think you have a beautiful first name. Don’t be ashamed.”
“Stop it.” Demi whined which made me laugh.
“I’m hungry.” I commented. Demi turned her face and looked at me.
“I’m not surprised.”
“Then let’s go eat!” I stood up and pulled her up out of the bed. I realized that we were still in our same clothes from last night and chuckled.
“I’m gonna go change, then I’ll meet you down in the lobby for breakfast.” I said and hugged her.
“Kay.” Demi said pleasantly and watched me walk out.
I closed the door behind me and walked down the hallway to my room. I pulled out the key and let myself in. Nick was sitting on his bed playing guitar when he looked up at me and raised an eyebrow.
“Where were you last night, all this morning, and why are you wearing the same clothes?”
“Slumber party at Demi’s.” I said as I walked past him to take a shower. Nick scoffed and went back to tuning his guitar.

Demi’s POV
I threw on dark blue skinny jeans with a white v-neck shirt and a light blue long flowy cardigan. I stared at my shoes, heels or converse? I took out my phone and texted Selena.
[[Heels or converse?]] It took her a couple of minutes to reply.
[[Heels.]]
I slipped in my white heels and brushed my straight hair quickly. I put the hotel key in my pocket and walked out of the room. I pressed the elevator button anxiously and repeatedly. A low chuckle behind me made me jump and turn around.
“Eager to see me?” Joe asked with a small smile on his face.
