Just a comment on that trick.
You could tease the friend by saying I told you I would find out your phone number by showing the 7 and saying see you have seven numbers and do as if the trick is over and that you could not find his number but just the amount of digits in his phone number. You open the paper and check his number. And then if he is sort of disapointed you tell him wait here is your number x x x x x it could have a higher result sensation. no ?

@aba2185 its kinda like a math problem, no matter what ur taking off 44 cards off the top of the deck and the last 8 cards make 52
the 4 cards are the first 4, then u make them all add up to 10 taking off more cards
then subtracting what they add up.
so say u get four 10 cards. u take no cards off the top cuz u dont need to make 10, then u subtract 40, bringing the last 8 to the top
