Demi Lovato is quickly taking the entertainment world by storm. The Texas native, who was born Demetria Devonne Lovato is the middle child in a family of three daughters. Her sisters are Dallas, who is older, and Madison, her younger sister, who is an actress on Desperate Housewives.
Demi’s acting career began very early on, when she landed a role on the hit show “Barney and Friends.” It was there that she met long-time friend Selena Gomez and appeared in seasons 7 and 8 before the show came to a close.
Prior to hitting it big on the Disney Channel, Demi Lovato did experience her fair share of challenges. In fact, the singer admitted that bullying in the 7th grade is what ultimately led her to ask her mom to home-school her. Her first big roles were guest spots on TV shows like Prison Break and in Just Jordan.
After singing a track for DisneyMania 6, Demi Lovato was offered her role in Camp Rock. Her portrayal of Mitchie Torres was a bit turning point in her career and her personal life, as she worked with the Jonas Brothers.
After this, Demi Lovato went on to work with her bestie once again in the Princess Protection Program and then get her own show Sonny With a Chance.
Through it all though, Demi Lovato says that music is till her main passion and that for her in comparison acting is more of a hobby. Her debut album, “Don’t Forget” did very well, but her second release “Here We Go Again” debuted at number one. Maybe that’s because it was more Demi’s style – and what she describes as a bit more John Mayer-ish. Demi’s own personal music taste is far different than her Disney image. She likes metal music and her favorite bands are Maylene and the Sons of Disaster and Abigail Williams. She has a lot of respect within the industry and has also collaborated with her friends We The Kings on their song “We’ll Be the Dream.”
Some other random facts about Demi Lovato include the fact that she is a skilled piano and guitar player. She likes to shop at Forever 21 and Aldo. She of Hispanic, IRish and Italian descent, and she loves rocking bright red lipstick.
It is also reported that Demi Lovato is a vegetarian and she can’t live without her laptop, which she would reportedly choose over TV if she had to. She also recently stated that if she wasn’t in the entertainment world, she’d probably like to become a make-up artist.

i think demi was best in CR1 and is a better soft actress not a comedian actress (sonny) demi sings too much from the throat. :/
selena i think is a great actress and could really do well. selena should stop singing because it’s not as good as her acting.
miley needs to go country or take some time out of the spotlight to re-evaluate her life.
